Kite Boarding; Of course.

It's been mid-semester break for two weeks now, and I have had nearly no time inside the house. On the side of hockey training, I've been going down to the beach in the afternoons and some mornings for kite boarding practice with my dad. It's a lot of fun, and I've gotten pretty badly sunburnt on my arms and face and legs.
The second week we were down there - Wednesday, I think it was - there was barely any wind, definitely not enough to launch or keep a kite in the air. Went for a jog down the shore instead. When I came back to our little 'encampment' on the near-dunes, dad was like, 'We gotta try it at least', and so we inflated the larger kite, and grabbed the strings at each end and ran down the beach to see how it stayed up. Unfortunately, it luffed, and twisted enough to fly into my head. God damn it, that hurt; probably a minor concussion, knowing my luck.
Anyway, just yesterday, I collected a bunch of shells, and cleaned them when I got back to the house. My friend, Chris, got a kite-wire and made me a necklace from one of them [I'm wearing it right now]. Yep, lot happening this break... Unfortunately, it ends today, so I'll be back at school, and kite boarding will have to be done intravenously, in between training and class time and socialising with my friends. Oh well... there's always weekends, right?

*~ Plus, I think I poisoned myself... me and a few friends had a wager going that I wouldn't be able to stomach or eat ten carrots... I sure showed them! Eugh... Never doing that again... >.<
